Dog Wedding Attire: 7 Dog Wedding Outfit Ideas For Your Big Day

Getting married is one of the most exciting times in your life, and who says your pup can't play a key role? After all, they're part of the family.

If you want to incorporate your dog into your wedding, there are plenty of options, from having him walk you down the aisle to being part of the bridal "pawty". But once you've decided Fido is going to be featured, it's time for the fun to begin—picking an outfit.

Surprisingly enough, dog wedding attire isn't that hard to come by. The hard part is making sure it matches the vibe you've carefully crafted for your big day.

From flourishing flower crowns to tiny tuxes, here are the best dog wedding outfits for your impending nuptials.

9 dog wedding outfits for your big day

1. Flower collar or crown

Flowers can be one of the biggest chunks of your wedding budget, so why not use some of them to doll up your dog? Using your own flowers will ensure that your dog's attire matches your theme, but there are plenty of faux options on the market if your pup is prone to plant eating (remember, some plants are poisonous to dogs).

If your dog isn't a fan of stuff on his head (who is, really?), opt for a flower collar (peep our very own Brand Designer's pooch in her recent wedding at the top of this article!).

2. Puppy tuxedo

You can't go wrong with a tuxedo. Made just for four-legged friends, these come in many colors, shapes, and sizes. While most come as sleeveless vests, there are also options with full sleeves to really get your pup dressed to the nines.

A more convenient option might be to choose one that's half tux, half harness, so you don't have to double up on layers and your pooch can stay comfortable and safe.

3. Flower girl dress or skirt

Perhaps you want your pup to look just as elegant as you and match the rest of the bridal party. There are plenty of dog wedding dresses for your pooch to sport—and if you don't want them wearing white, you can opt to choose colors that match your bridesmaids dresses or overall theme.

If a full dress is too much, elastic tutus are a great option and come in plenty of colors.

4. Bowtie

Keep it simple and go with a classic staple—the bowtie. Your pup might not even notice he's wearing it since it feels like a collar.

Choose a color that matches your theme or let him stand out with a print or pattern. This elegant look won't distract from the biggest moments but still lets him partake in your ceremony.

5. Bandana

This is another easy solution that will have the same sentimental effect when you're looking back at pictures, but it's not a full blown outfit.

Tie a bandana around your pup's neck that lets everyone know he's an integral part of your big day. "Best dog", "Dog of honor", and "Here comes the bride" are just a few messages that appear on the most popular options out there.

6. Sign

This is a simple solution that is just as cute as clothing, but lower maintenance since you can just pop the sign on right before the ceremony and pictures and take it off for the rest of the night.

With sayings like, "Here she comes" and "My humans are getting married", guests at your wedding will ooh and ahh as Fido prances down the aisle.

7. Ring pillow

While this isn't a dog wedding outfit, per se, it is something you can put on your pup for your ceremony. Plus, some of us may trust a dog more than the someone in a bridal party to get the ring safely down the aisle.

Some strap around your dog's belly while others connect to his existing collar.

No matter which dog wedding outfit you choose, the most important thing is that he's there to bask in the beauty of your big day.
